On April 25, the GSC received one of the MIT Compton Prizes for its service to the community the past 5 years. The Compton Prizes reflect outstanding contributions to the MIT community as a whole, sustained over a significant number of years.

On April 13, 700 graduate students gathered at the Boston Park Plaza for the GSC's 7th Annual Grad Gala, which included three course dinner, a 20+ piece swing band, and a packed dance floor!

paint for orphans
During Graduate Orientation 2012, graduate students from across MIT came together to participate in a global charity called the Memory Project. Together they painted twenty portraits of orphans from Rwanda which will be returned to the children along with a donation for their community.
