I bet this guy is regretting he called you tired. I had a similar experience the other night, when I went to the Energy Night event at the MIT Museum. I was all excited for it, so I got back from the gym, showered, dressed up, and raced over there. When I entered the door a girl I knew walked up to me and said "Talk about bad timing! We have already been here for a while and we're all leaving." Thanks for the warm welcome!, I told her. I was arriving only an hour after the all evening event began, so obviously it was far from over, but it's the kind of thing you just don't appreciate when it's a new beginning--whatever the occasion.
