Harbor Islands Trip
Spend some time this summer at this beautiful national recreation area and “walk a Civil War-era fort, visit historic lighthouses, explore tide pools, hike lush trails, camp under the stars, or relax while fishing, picnicking or swimming-all within reach of downtown Boston.” More information coming soon! (2006 PPT)
Taste of… Series
Held one Tuesday evening per month, events from the “Taste of…” series give you the opportunity to enjoy different cultures from around the world! See some performances or partake in an activity hosted by one of the numerous cultural groups on campus, and (pretty) importantly, take the opportunity to enjoy that culture’s food! Past events in the series have celebrated the cultures of Germany, China, Belgium, India, Greece, the South, the Caribbean… Ideas for an event in the series? Email us at gsc-ac[at]mit[dot]edu!
Six Flags Trip
Trip to Six Flags in Springfield, MA. (2006 PPT)
A series of semi-formal to black-tie events, where grad students can appreciate art, mingle, and enjoy light refreshments at some of the most beautiful museums and galleries in the area. Past venues have included the Harvard Museum of Natural History, the Copley Society of Art and the MIT List Visual Arts Center.
Would you rather hang out in smaller groups and make some friends in a low key, activity-based setting? Friendsie Frenzy events might be your solution! We’ll have activities and snacks that will enable new friendships and also tons of fun!
