The annual GSC Grad Gala is a tradition and the only black-tie event for all members of the graduate student body. This year, we will have 500 attendees on the evening of Saturday, March 24th from 8pm - 12am. The event includes dinner, beautiful museum exhibits, dancing and light shows (first come first serve).
At Museum of Science (1 Science Park, Boston, MA 02114)
All registered MIT graduate students and postdocs can buy a ticket for themselves and a guest, so two tickets in total. The guest does not need to be MIT-affiliated.
Ticket sales will open on Monday, February 19, 2018 on MIT adMIT One.
There is no physical ticket pick-up required, be sure to show up to the event with your ID and we’ll check you off our list (as well as your guest). This is a 21+ event and the ID requirements are Massachusetts License ID or a Passport.
The ticket covers entry to the Blue Wing of the museum, 3-course dinner and an option to choose between a single drink ticket and a laser show entry. Additional drinks can be purchased at the bar.
There are kosher, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options at the buffet dinner.
Suits / tuxedos / dark ties or cocktail dresses / evening gowns are encouraged. But we invite you to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

The light show will start at 9.30 PM and tickets will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please indicate your preference when you purchase your tickets. Details about the show can be found here.
We will have shuttles leaving from 84 Massachusetts Avenue that will fill up strictly on a first-come-first-serve basis. Indicate your interest to take the shuttle while buying your ticket, but please note that your response here is only to help us plan, it does NOT reserve a seat for you. We will follow up with more details about the shuttle as we get closer to the event. Otherwise, good options are:
Complimentary parking is available on a first come first serve basis. The museum’s parking lot holds approximately 800 cars.
Tickets cannot be refunded. You can however sell your ticket to another interested student on the waiting list through this ticket exchange form.
