Funding Student Groups

Funding for Student Groups at MIT

The Graduate Student Council funds a large number of ASA-recognized graduate student groups through the GSC Funding Board for:

  • events benefiting the graduate community
  • capital expenses
  • cross-departmental socials

To find out whether your group is eligible for funding from the GSC, please check the eligible graduate student group list. If your group is not on the list, please contact the GSC Treasurer.

Current Funding Cycle

Round 1 of the Summer/Fall 2009 Funding Cycle results have been posted. The round covers the period between June 15th, 2009 and September 30th, 2009.

Reimbursement requests are due by October 2nd, 2009 5PM at SAFO on the 5th floor of the student center.

IAP/Spring Round I (IAP) Jan 1st - March 14th December 4th, 2009 March 15th, 2010
IAP/Spring Round II (Spring) March 15th - June 14th March 5th, 2010 June 5th, 2010*
* Reimbursements will have at least a 2-business day grace period after the date of the event, but no later than the last day of the cycle.

Reimbursement requests are at 5pm at the SAFO office, on the 5th floor of the student center.

If your group did not receive the email and has applied to the funding board in the past, or is eligible, please contact gsc-treasurer at mit.edu ASAP.
