Mission

The Community Engagement (Alumni Relations) Task Force was established at the June 2008 GCM . We are charged to:

  • Support Alumni Association initiatives
  • Establish new GSC initiatives on Alumni relations
  • Serve as a resource for graduate issues on Alumni relations
  • Coordinate new GSC initiatives on community service

Objective & Involvement

Our task force spearheads a number of initiatives and events aimed at uniting the community at MIT. Most of our projects center around bring the graduate alumni and graduate student communities closer together. The committee includes a number of project leads, each of whom work with the committee chairs to organize a particular event or initiative, as well as a large number of volunteers. In addition to carrying out these projects, the Community Engagement Task Force is also responsible for acting as a graduate student liaison on Alumni issues.

A listing of our current projects and advocacy items are listed below. As we are a newly formed task force, we are open to establishing new initiatives or programs.
