Volunteer Postings

Thank you for offering your help to the 2009 orientation!  We would not be able to put on such a successful program without the support of our student volunteers. We have created a mailing list for you. If you would like to help with the orientation but do not know exactly how, where, and when, please go to

and add yourself to the mailing list. During the orientation, this mailing list will be used to notify the volunteers of the needs for different events. There is practically no traffic on the list between now and the week leading to the orientation.

Here are some events that are already in need of extra hands:

 

Airport Shuttle:

Looking for greeters to welcome arriving incoming graduate students to campus!  They will be dropped off by the airport shuttle to one of three convenient on campus locations (Albany St, Amherst St, or Wadsworth St).  The shuttle operates from Aug 16 to Aug 30.  For more information and the sign up link, please go here:

Looking for coordinators for the Rock 'N Roast BBQ, "Return to Lythion" Dance Party, and Prudential Skywalk. If you are interested in helping with one of these contact: aturjman@mit.edu & anwar_g@MIT.EDU

Graduate Student Volunteer Day (GSVD) (Sat 9/19):

  • 2 volunteers for breakfast prep (from 8:30 - 9am)
  • 7 volunteers during the volunteering day as group leaders
  • 3 volunteers to help with BBQ setup and cooking
