What We Do Work Dissertation Boot Camp
Dissertation Boot Camp

Purpose
The Dissertation Boot Camp is offered for students who would like additonal support while writing their dissertation. By offerering an environment for focused writing time and with help of the MIT Writing and Communication Center staff, besides regular exercise breaks conducted by the MIT Center for Health Promotion and Wellness, the camp intends to build up healthy writing habits that students will then continue on their own.

Your Commitment

Students must commit to the 4-day long writing schedule. Scheduled breaks and taking part in the offered activities are optional. You may take additional breaks as needed to stretch or get a snack. You will be asked to sign a "contract" at the beginning of the program to indicate the goals you intend to achieve by the end of the 4-day timeframe. At the end of the program you will be asked to sign a "contract" to keep 2 habits you developed through the Camp during the rest of your dissertation writing.
