Accordingly, the GSC & UA held over 5 student-led forums and focus groups to solicit feedback on the needs of MIT as well as the desirable qualities that a president should possess. The opinions and perspectives collected are being used toadvise the MIT Corporation in the selection of the 17th MIT President.
Additionally, the Graduate Student Council and Undergraduate Association have formed a joint task force to serve in an advisory capacity to the search process. On this body, ten undergraduates and ten graduate students in total, chaired by six students, will represent the MIT student community. They will be responsible for soliciting feedback from their constituencies.
The GSC and UA have selected a group of students to serve on the task force. Over the upcoming weeks, we also encourage for students to provide opinions online.
