Ticket Exchange
For sellers
When the ticket exchange begins, you will receive an email from gsc-ticketexchange@mit.edu with a unique link to manage your ticket. You will receive one link for each ticket you have purchased. Please do not share the link. The link allows you to offer your tickets for sale. You are free to set the price, as long as it does not exceed the price you paid. This event uses self-service pairing. This means that buyers will make online offers by themselves after you list your ticket(s) for sale. If someone offers to buy your ticket, you will get an email, and you will be able to use the link sent to you to see the contact information of the buyer. You can then reach out to them directly to arrange payments. After you receive the payment, you should click “Transfer ticket” to confirm the ticket transfer online, which will also send a confirmation email. Your ticket status will change to “Transferred out” automatically within 24 hours. Please note that we cannot help with any transactions that take place outside the ticket exchange system.
For buyers
You can join the waiting list at https://mitgscapp.knack.com/ticket-exchange#join-waiting-list/. You will receive an email confirmation when you join the waiting list. You can use the link to see tickets posted and make offers. Check frequently as tickets are offered for sales on a rolling basis. We have instructed the sellers to contact you directly to arrange payments. After the payment is complete, the seller will confirm the transfer online, and you will get an automated confirmation email. Your ticket status will change to “Transferred In” within 24 hours. Please note that we cannot help with any transactions that take place outside the ticket exchange system.
Do not upcharge the tickets
It is not allowed to sell the ticket(s) at a higher price than what you paid, because the event is heavily subsidized. If you do, we may cancel your ticket without any refund. If you notice any such behavior, please contact us at grad-gala-25@mit.edu, and you may get a free ticket as a reward.
