Housing and Community Affairs
The HCA committee addresses community issues and student services that pertain to the entire graduate population. The committee’s work focuses on ensuring that the MIT graduate experience is enjoyable, affordable, safe, healthy, and marked by a welcoming community. The committee provides an avenue for members of the community to have transparent discussions of issues pertaining to the entire graduate population.

Sustainability Subcommittee
Our Sustainability subcommittee is a gathering point for climate-conscious, action-driven students to collaborate on implementing sustainable practices on the MIT campus with the knowledge, motivation and interest of graduate students at its center.

Recent Initiatives
- Proposing and implementing a pilot project (experiment) to offer bananas at the Banana Lounge over the summer for graduate students.
- Working with Housing and Residential Services to implement an online inventory system for residences to keep track of loanable items at the front desk.
- Improving dorm and GSC relations and facilitating collaboration between all groups.
