The GSC Council Representatives are divided into department representatives, residence representatives and members at large. The Representatives are elected to cover:
- One spot for every 100 students (or fraction thereof) in each graduate department and program, but no more than five spots per constituency
- One spot from each of the graduate residences
- Two spots living off-campus
- Five at-large spots
Information on Vacancies
- Departmental representatives are elected by the governing student organization of a departmental constituency. If there is no identifiable governing student organization, the GSC may appoint a prospective member.
- Dorm representatives are elected by the governing student organization of a living group constituency. If there is no identifiable governing student organization, including the constituency for off-campus residents, the GSC may appoint a prospective member.
- At large representatives are appointed by the GSC after submitting an application to fill an opening for an at-large constituency.
