Sample Events

Acoustic Barbecue

On the evening of the last day of Spring classes, join us  and enjoy the company of your fellow grad students over food, live music, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Taste of… Series

Held once per month, events from the “Taste of…” series give you the opportunity to enjoy different cultures from around the world! See some performances or partake in an activity hosted by one of the numerous cultural groups on campus, and (pretty) importantly, take the opportunity to enjoy that culture’s food! Past events in the series have celebrated the cultures of Germany, China, Belgium, India, Greece, the South, the Caribbean… Ideas for an event in the series? Email us at gsc-ac[at]mit[dot]edu!

Six Flags Trip

Trip to Six Flags in Springfield, MA.

Art Soirées

A series of semi-formal to black-tie events, where grad students can appreciate art, mingle, and enjoy light refreshments at some of the most beautiful museums and galleries in the area. Past venues have included the Harvard Museum of Natural History, the Copley Society of Art and the MIT List Visual Arts Center.
