Funding for Council Representatives

About

The GSC provides funding for GSC Council Representatives to spend to improve their community. All eligible representatives may receive up to $250 per representative, on a rolling basis towards events catered to their constituency.

Eligibility and Funding Details

In order to be eligible for funding, the representative must be in good standing. The representative or their immediate predecessor must attend General Council Meetings (GCMs) regularly.

Funding Scheme

  • Representatives are eligible for $150/rep/period.
  • Participation in the GSC beyond attending GCMs further increases funding by $100/rep/period.
    • This additional participation may include being actively involved in a GSC Committee, Board, Subcommittee, or working group, or serving on an MIT Institute Committee.

Requirements for Use of GSC Representative Funding
